This must be submitted with your application.

Eligibility to apply – applicants CurrentLY in a CT3/ST3 post in a uk ACCS EMergency MEDICINE training programme

  • You must have evidence of achievement of CT1/ST1, CT2/ST2, and CT3/ST3 ACCS Emergency Medicine competences, by the advertised post start date for the vacancy.
  • You must have evidence of current employment in a UK CT3/ST3 Emergency Medicine programme which leads to successful completion of the programme by the advertised post start date for the vacancy. This can be evidenced by:
  • Providing your current ACCS Emergency Medicine UK National Training Number and satisfactory ARCP outcomes.
  • If you wish to be considered for Locum Appointment for Training posts (where available): you must have no more than 24 months experience in LAT posts in this specialty by the advertised post start date for the vacancy.
  • By the ‘initial offers released by’ date for the round; you must have either:
  • been awarded Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM) (MRCEM Primary, Intermediate and OSCE) or
  • completed FRCEM Intermediate Certificate (Primary, Intermediate and SJP).

Eligibility to apply – Applicants who have Completed a UK ACCS EMergency MEDICINE training programme

  • You must have evidence of achievement of CT1/ST1, CT2/ST2, and CT3/ST3 ACCS Emergency Medicine competences. This can be evidenced by:
  • Successful completion of a UK ACCS Emergency Medicine programme, supported by satisfactory ARCP outcome. This must be submitted with your application.
  • You must have evidence of 36 months’ training at CT1/ST1, CT2/ST2 and CT3/ST3 level in ACCS specialties This can be evidenced by:
  • Successful completion of a UK ACCS Emergency Medicine programme, supported by a satisfactory ARCP outcome. This must be submitted with your application.
  • If you wish to be considered for Locum Appointment for Training posts (where available): you must have no more than 24 months experience in LAT posts in this specialty by the advertised post start date for the vacancy.
  • By the ‘initial offers released by’ date for the round; you must have either:
  • been awarded Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM) (MRCEM Primary, Intermediate and OSCE) or
  • completed FRCEM Intermediate Certificate (Primary, Intermediate and SJP).

Eligibility to apply – All Other Applicants

  • You must have evidence of achievement of CT1/ST1, CT2/ST2, and CT3/ST3 ACCS Emergency Medicine competences. This can be evidenced by:
  • A completed Alternative Certificate of Readiness to Enter Higher Emergency Medicine Specialist Training, submitted at the time of application
  • You must have evidence of 36 months’ training at CT1/ST1, CT2/ST2 and CT3/ST3 level in ACCS specialties. This must include a minimum of:
  • 12 months in Emergency Medicine.
  • 3 consecutive months in Acute Medicine.
  • 6 consecutive months in Anaesthesia.
  • 6 consecutive months in Intensive Care Medicine.
  • 3 consecutive months in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
  • Experience in the above posts must be gained within a post that is specifically within the named specialty i.e. not combined with another specialty.
  • For posts not GMC approved for Emergency Medicine or ACCS training, acceptable evidence is:
  • A completed Alternative Certificate of Readiness to Enter Higher Emergency Medicine Specialist Training, submitted at the time of application AND
  • A letter on hospital headed paper confirming dates, grade and specialty for each post, submitted at the time of application.
  • All experience in the ACCS Emergency Medicine specialties must be gained and evidenced by the time of application
  • If you wish to be considered for Locum Appointment for Training posts (where available): you must have no more than 24 months experience in LAT posts in this specialty by the advertised post start date for the vacancy.
  • By the ‘initial offers released by’ date for the round; you must have either:
  • been awarded Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM) (MRCEM Primary, Intermediate and OSCE) or
  • completed FRCEM Intermediate Certificate (Primary, Intermediate and SJP).
