Editorial standards

Editorial policy

MedNext publishes medical education, portfolio, and drug reference content for healthcare professionals. Our editorial process is designed to keep content source-backed, clinically reviewed, and transparent about its limits.

Last reviewed: 27 April 2026

Source-led research

Medical and portfolio content starts from authoritative sources such as NHS England recruitment documents, GMC guidance, MHRA or NICE materials, and product source data where applicable.

Clinical writing and review

Content is written for doctors and reviewed by the MedNext Clinical Team, GMC-registered NHS doctors, before publication where clinical or training advice is involved.

Clear scope

MedNext content is educational and workflow-supporting. It does not replace clinical judgement, local policy, or patient-specific prescribing advice.

Ongoing maintenance

Pages are updated when source documents change, when corrections are accepted, or when a recruitment or clinical cycle is refreshed.

Source policy

Portfolio pages cite official recruitment and person specification documents where available. Formulary pages display MedNext dataset review dates and clinical safety context. Blog guides include references and a visible reviewer block when clinically relevant.

Corrections and updates

Readers can report errors, outdated source links, or unclear wording. Accepted corrections are prioritised by clinical risk, user impact, and source authority.
